The Monkspath Patient Participation Group was formed in 2012 and has developed very much as a “Patient Led” PPG.





All patients registered with Monkspath Surgery are eligible to attend the ‘Open Meetings’, usually with a speaker on health-related topics and the Practice Manager. The meetings were suspended in March 2020 due to COVID and meetings have been held using Zoom in 2021. It is unclear now (June 2021) if the meetings will return to being in-person.

The organisation and administration of our PPG is conducted by the Steering Group who tend to meet on the ‘in-between months’. The regulation of this Steering Group (SG) is governed by the Constitution. This Steering Group membership is elected at the AGM (normally held in June), currently subject to a review whether to be held online or in-person. The elected, ten SG members choose the various officers (again subject to the Constitution). Currently these are:
